Our Story

How our salt is made

The grain in each pack, and what is added to it.

Sized for the job

Salt is screened and graded into the grain size each product needs: a coarse crystal for a grinder, and a fine, free-flowing grain for a table salt shaker.

Iodated to South African requirements

Iodate is added to the iodated products, in line with South African fortification requirements.

Why the grain matters

Grading to a set size means the grain in this year's pack behaves like the grain in last year's.

In a kitchen that is the only quality claim that really matters. A teaspoon has to mean the same thing every time, or a recipe is a guess.
